Balade d'automne - Fall Hikes

Le froid et la pluie s'installent en plaine, la neige commence à blanchir les sommets. Il est donc temps de revenir sur mes petites ballades d'automne, avant que cela ne devienne hors sujet.

The cold and rain are setting up in the valley, the snow start to whitening the summit. So it is time to come back on my fall hikes, which were part of my training, before it's become outdated.

Le travail accaparant la majorité de mon temps en semaine, je profitai donc de mes week-ends pour découvrir  ou redécouvrir les montagnes environnantes de ma ville natale, Annecy. Mon acolyte qui m'accompagna sur presque toute mes sorties et que je remercie profondément; se reconnaîtra si elle vient à lire ces quelques lignes.

Work taking most of my time during the week, I enjoyed hiking in the week end to discover or re-discover the mountain around my native city, Annecy. My loyal partner who came with me almost all the time and who I thank warmly, will recognize herself if she get to read those few lines.

Malaysia final chapter : Cameron Highlands and Kuala Lumpur

Il est temps d'achever cette série. Sa fait un peu plus d'un mois que je suis rentrée d'Asie, je suis plutôt en train de profiter des montagnes, entre rando et vélo.  Mais, sait on jamais, si je peux donner quelques idées de voyages à certains, ou simplement éclairer d'autres sur de nouveaux horizons...

It's about time to finish the review on my malaysian trip. It's been more then a month since I came back, I 'am currently enjoying the mountains, spending my free time between hiking and biking. But, who knows, I might give some travels ideas for some of you, or simply displaying new horizons for others...

Cameron Highlands: Après avoir commencé par visiter les plages et les îles Malaisiennes, il était temps d'aller faire un tour dans les plus hautes montagnes du pays, connues pour leurs vastes plantations de thé ainsi que leurs forêts primaires d'altitude renfermant faunes et flores atypiques. Je découvres une fois de plus les joies de voyager seule, me retrouvant à aider le propriétaire de mon auberge à organiser un barbecue pour 50 chinois, il me remerciera en m'offrant le gite et une visite dans un village natif.

Cameron Highlands: After starting my trip visiting the islands and beaches of Malaysia, it was time to go explore the highest mountain of the country, known for their vast tea plantation as well as its primary forest where we can find specific species of plants and animals. I discovered once more the joy of traveling alone, finding myself helping the owner of my hostel cooking barbecue for 50 chinese. To thank me he offered me the three night I spend there, and brought me visiting some remote places where we were able to see some natives villages.

Kuala Lumpur: Le voyage touche à sa fin, il est temps de se rendre à Kuala Lumpur, la capital, pour visiter la ville d'ou partira mon vol de retour.

Kuala Lumpur: The trip was getting to its end. It was time to go to KL, the capital, to visit the city from where my flight left.

Malaysia: Langkawi Island

Langkawi est situé au Nord Ouest de Penang, et donc de la Malaisie, non loin de la Thaïlande. C'est un archipel constitué de 99 îles dont seulement la principale est habitée. J'ai apprécié l'hospitalité des habitants et les nombreuses activités que l'on peut y pratiquer, c'est pourquoi je suis restée presque 10 jours là-bas. 

Langkawi is situated North-West of Penang and though, of Malaysia, nor far from Thailand. It's an archipelago of 99 island which only the main one is populated. I appreciated the hospitality of locals and the different activities you can do there, that's why I guess, I find myself spending 10 days there.
